The 22nd annual Festival of Fine Arts and crafts offers two days of an art and shopping experience for the entire family with 125+ juried artists & craftspeople displaying and selling their works, special artist demonstrations, hands-on family unit fine art activities, a Beer & Wine Garden*, Glass Pumpkin Fundraiser, alive music, and more!

For the health and safety of our artists, staff, and audiences, and based on the recommendations of the CDC, masks must be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will likewise be required outdoors when social distancing is non possible. Follow our Facebook page for engaging updates & highlights on our Festival plans. 125 veteran & emerging artists brandish their unique creations in a beautiful scenic setting. From inspired paintings, decorative ceramics, and novel jewelry, to innovative wood sculptures and vibrant wearables, the Festival offers something heady for everyone!

Selection & purchase your favorites exterior the Pottery Studio in a special pumpkin patch. *Please Note: due to express production time during COVID restrictions, pumpkin quantities are limited. All gain from this fundraiser go to supporting arts educational programming at WheatonArts!

Join u.s. during the Festival for a series of complimentary hands-on experiences for all ages.

Paper Basin Scarecrow Confront
Scarecrows are iconic symbols of the autumn season. Create a playful scarecrow confront using simple materials, including a paper bowl, buttons, and construction paper.

Tissue Newspaper Stained Glass Apple
Create the illusion of stained drinking glass using a colorful array of tissue and construction paper. Use our template to create an apple tree-shaped frame to fill up with small pieces of tissue paper and hang it in a window once you lot get home.

Beaded Fall Corn
Mini beaded fall corn is fun to create and is a festive craft the whole family can do. These adorable beaded corns can exist turned into fall garland or given equally gifts to family and friends at the Thanksgiving tabular array.

Community Arts Project:
Maya Sawdust Carpeting

12 p.m. to iv p.m. both days

Did you know sawdust has been a traditional fine art medium for over 500 years? Participate in creating a Guatemalan sawdust carpeting during this two-mean solar day customs arts project led by the Main Guatemalan creative person Ubaldo Sánchez. The activity takes place exterior the Folklife Heart's building. The slice will be themed effectually stories and images associated with the Mayan fiber arts, images of Ixchel (Goddess of the moon, fertility, medicine, and patron of weavers), and Guatemalan Maya people dressed in traditional regional garments.

Artist Residency:
Guatemalan Weaving

12 p.grand. to 4 p.m. both days

Discover the materials, techniques, and aesthetics of today'southward Guatemalan textile arts starting time hand! Engage with Guatemalan master weavers Armando Sosa and Angélica López as they provide easily-on demonstrations with different weaving techniques employed by Guatemalan artists for centuries. Angélica López volition use a backstrap loom for her sit-in. Armando Sosa will use tabletop looms (a smaller version of the treadle loom) for his demo and visitors willing to effort the technique. Located outside the Downward Bailiwick of jersey Folklife Center.
